Important information about our policies

Cancellation, Return & Refund

Maisonup deals in electronic components, DIY kits, and 3D-printed products. Many of these items are sensitive to handling, static charge, voltage, and soldering. Because of this, we follow a limited but fair return policy, designed to protect both the customer and the product.


1. Order Cancellation

To cancel or modify an order, please contact us via the Contact Us page or email support@maisonup.com with your order number.

  • Orders can be cancelled only if they are in “Pending” or “Payment Verification” status.
  • Orders that are already processed, shipped, or under customization cannot be cancelled.
  • If the order is already shipped, it will be handled under the return policy below.
  • Our support team typically responds within one business day.

2. Returns & Replacements (Limited)

Due to the nature of the products sold, returns are accepted only in specific cases.

2.1 Product Damaged During Shipment

If your product is damaged during transit, notify us within 3 days of delivery with:

  • Clear photos/videos of the product
  • Photos of the outer and inner packaging
  • Order details

After verification, we will offer a replacement or a full refund. In such cases, return shipping costs will be borne by Maisonup.

2.2 Wrong Item Shipped

If you receive a product different from what you ordered, inform us within 3 days of delivery with proper proof.

Once verified, we will arrange either:

  • Replacement of the correct product, or
  • Full refund (including return shipping)

3. Important Usage & Handling Disclaimer

Electronic components are highly sensitive and require proper handling. Returns or refunds will not be accepted for damage caused by:

  • Static electricity (ESD damage)
  • Incorrect voltage or power supply
  • Reverse polarity
  • Improper wiring or connections
  • Overheating or short circuits
  • Soldering, desoldering, or physical modification
  • Burn marks, lifted pads, broken pins, or cut traces

Once a product has been soldered, powered improperly, modified, or physically altered, it is considered used and is not eligible for return.

4. Comfort & Fair-Use Assurance (For New Customers)

We understand that as a new brand, trust matters.

If a product:

  • Does not work out of the box, or
  • Appears defective before use or modification

Please contact us before attempting soldering, modification, or forceful testing.

In such cases, our team will:

  • Review photos/videos shared by you
  • Help with basic troubleshooting
  • Offer a replacement or resolution where a genuine manufacturing defect is identified

This comfort applies only to unused and unmodified products.

5. Claims That Will Be Strictly Denied

Return or replacement requests will be rejected if:

  • The product has been soldered, programmed, modified, or physically altered
  • Damage is caused by improper use, handling, or experimentation
  • The claim is raised after 3 days of delivery
  • Clear proof of a manufacturing defect is not provided

Claims may also be denied if the product was ordered for an unsuitable application despite specifications being clearly mentioned. These are technical DIY products, not plug-and-play consumer electronics. Basic technical understanding is expected from the user.

6. Warranty Disclaimer

There is no warranty or guarantee on any product unless explicitly stated on the product page. All products are sold for:

  • DIY
  • Educational
  • Hobby
  • Experimental use

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 working days.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method or as agreed with the customer.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable, except where Maisonup is at fault.
  • COD refunds are processed via UPI or bank transfer.

8. Final Authority

All decisions related to returns, replacements, or refunds are subject to inspection and approval by Maisonup. Maisonup reserves the right to accept or reject claims based on evidence and verification.
